Today, Remy Martin and I went for an adventure. Remy, for all of you who don’t know is the newest addition to the doll house apartment my roommate Rebekah and I live in. And I try to go on at least one adventure a day–this can include but is not limited to: getting lost and finding my way home, visiting the dog park, and getting myself into awkward situations.
Not until Remy Martin came to town, did I realize how exhausting it is to complete the taken-for-granted tasks of the day with either a. dead weight, or b. a very slow, very curious other.
Remy and I had what I like to call a long, and action packed day. First, we got picked up by a friend, co-worker & fellow blogger Ted and his roommate Ryan–who by the way drives like a crazy person (ill give him the benefit of the doubt) as a result of “Boston biking.” Remy and I both felt a little sick:(
Then, I brought him for a walk at the dogpark–thinking that he might shit, pee or puke (as a result of the crazy driving) on their floor–that would be both awkward & messy.
Many more parks, walks and mindless wandering has left me exhausted and bed bound on a Saturday night and Remy is sleeping upside down on the couch and snoring–as seen in the picture above.
In respect to my older, mature and responsibility bearing siblings–and all other parents, “how the hell do you do it?” and “no wonder your in bed by 8:00.”
A dog is exhausting, but will eat anything and has limited vocal function-i.e they cant talk or cry. Kids on the other hand are picky and talkative.
