I love the idea of bringing art to the streets. Changing everyday items into something worth stopping for. Now, if only yeild could morph into a tulip.

Bank of America card holders can now get free admission to over 70 museums on the first weekend of every month. Although I believe that ALL art should be free to the people: anyone, everyone, & always,–this is a step in the right direction.

I highly recommend you check it out, and immerse yourself…for FREE!

Check out more details and a break down of participating museums by state here.

The Nightwatchman Justice Tour April 28, 2008

Tom Morello–former Audoslave and Rage Against the Machine member has been changing the world, one city at a time. The JUSTICE TOUR featuring Morello’s solo band, The Nightwatchman partners with local social action groups within tour cities–such as IVAW, or Health Care NOW to benefit their cause.

Last night, at the Berkley performance center, Morello was joined on stage by many other socially conscious artists such as State Radio (boston based & one of my favorite bands), Boots Riley of the Coup, Wayne Kramer of MC5, and many more.

The vibe was excellent, the message inspiring, and the cause worthy. Support your local artists and social activist groups by staying involved!

TODAY: Join Tom Morello at the Boston rally for universal healthcare today (April 28, 4:00 PM) on the Boston Common.

sun goddess

I have always been fully aware of the suns power–providing light, warmth and a compass for which daily life is maintained by all species. The sun has an especially powerful role in my mood, and honestly speaking its presence on a spring day like today puts a SMILE on my face. The tan, and lack of bulky sweaters, jackets, hats and scarves probably have something to do with its inspiration, but mostly the sun just makes me happy. If you haven’t yet, go outside and take a breath of fresh air. Appreciate the beauty of Spring!
